Enjoyed a day trip to Caddo Lake State Park on the Border of Texas and Louisiana.

The park has cabins for the night, with RV and tent spaces available.
The park has hiking trails, fishing dock, Boat ramp and canoes for rental.

Stepping back in time. Bringing back memories of the past.  Canoeing when I was a kid with my parents.

Sitting around the camp fire with my Parents and Grandparents at night, telling Ghost stories, scaring us where we were afraid to go to sleep.

Waiting to do the same to my grandkids.

Walking out on to the fishing Dock looking out, in awe of the all the Cypress trees in the water.

Wondering where the opening in the trees lead to… Exciting also Scary being on the Texas / Louisiana border.

Might end up finding an old house with Marie Laveau and never be able to leave the swamp.

The Swamp monster is coming, with his Army.. I am nervous in the evening with it getting dark.

Frogs croaking and them jumping in the water.   Think I see eyes moving slowly towards the bank... Alligators are fast on the land…

Look out there in the water close to you See the lady’s head with the Bee Hive hairdo about to get you.

What a great relaxing and rejuvenating day paddling at Caddo Lake State Park in Texas.

Following the marked paddling trails. Enjoying the sights and sounds of nature at its best.

A perfect way of ending the day at the cabin with a fire and looking forward to making more memories tomorrow.

Caddo Lake Forrest Trail Spring 40

Crossing a few creeks and seeing different plants I have not seen before.

Fun photographing this Plant laying on my side, what an awkward position... But I got the Shot!

The flower was hanging down it might have been 12 inches high.

The Plant is a Mayapple, American Mandrake or Ground Lemmon.
